BRETT SHAW

Brett Shaw is both a licensed contractor and a licensed architect and brings with him over 30 years of experience in construction. He is active in the building industry, sitting on multiple committees of the AIA, and volunteering on an Ad Hoc basis with local municipalities.

Brett completed his first years after college in the architecture and construction firm of Gene Summers, former designer in the office of Architect Mies Van Der Rohe. With this early indoctrination into a detail oriented design process , Brett has integrated a conscious, and unwavering attention to detail through-out his construction work. From his architectural background, Brett brings an understanding of the architect’s intentions when assembling materials, building systems, and exploring value engineering alternatives, facilitating an ease of communication between architect and contractor. He maintains a hands-on approach to every aspect of the building process, from bidding, to value engineering, project management and project close out.

The firm is a Certified ‘Build It Green’ contractor, keeping current with the latest in Eco Friendly construction practices.

Brett Shaw General Contractors’ construction philosophy is molded around the principle of a project team, with the owner, architect, contractor and allied professionals working together to create the best building possible.
